What Is Stress?

Stress is an everyday fact of life; you can’t avoid it.  A certain amount is essential for achieving things.  However, too much stress impairs performance and leads to exhaustion and illness.

Because of our busy modern-day living, many people spend much of their time in a state of physical and mental tension which is an enormous drain on our energy reserves.  We rush from A to B trying to get everything done, struggling to meet deadlines, experiencing pressures, anger, frustrations, so that we are on ‘red alert’ constantly.  We fail to notice the beauty of a tree, the song of a bird, the smile of a loved one…

…FOR HEALTH’S SAKE YOU NEED TO RELAX!

This is why I have produced this CD to help people with busy lifestyles.  It gives you six different opportunities to ‘switch off’ for a short while during the working day.  Each one is between eight and twelve minutes long, so you can choose one that is suitable for your needs at that time.  Even the busiest person can find ten minutes in the day for constructive relaxation.  By doing so, you will not only achieve more in the day, you will begin to enjoy your life again.

Relax Your Way to Perfect Health

Recent research carried out on the effect of deep relaxation on our genes by Harvard Medical School discovered that “in long-term practitioners of relaxation methods […], far more ‘disease-fighting genes’ were active, compared to those who practised no form of relaxation” The Independent, 28 July 2009.
